what to wear

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable as well as confident and proud.

Feel free to bring along a few outfits. We can help you make your final selection.

Please ensure all your outfits are clean and if necessary, have been ironed or steam cleaned.

Be mindful of pilling or loose strands. These may show up in your portrait. I am able to edit some of the obvious culprits within reason. But it's always best to aim for the cleanest image during the shoot, and not rely on editing to fix things.

We will mostly be focusing on your head and torso. But consider selecting a complete outfit, rather than just a shirt/jacket/top.

Take up the option to change your outfit during the shoot for a varied photograph. But consider clothes that are easy to change into, as you don't want to lose any of your precious time slot.

When selecting your outfit, try to avoid very fine patterns and stripes. These can sometimes create an unpleasant moiré effect. See an example below:

hair + makeup

We will leave hair and makeup for you to organise.

If you don’t usually wear makeup at all, perhaps consider a light application of moisturiser or foundation, some blush and a neutral-coloured lipstick.

If you regularly wear makeup, perhaps bring in your essential products for last-minute touch-ups and some powder for any unwanted shine.

The day has been scheduled so that everyone (including you!) has our full attention during their selected time slot. Please arrive on time. The shoot will run smoother and be more relaxed if you're on time and prepared for the shoot.

Sometimes life happens. We understand. But to be fair to our other clients, it is possible that we may not be able to extend your session.

Should you be more than 15 minutes late for your alloted time slot, we may be able to book you in at the next available session. However, you will lose your initial deposit.

There should be plenty of parking directly on Kooyong Road or on neighbouring streets (Jupiter St)
